DECREE

I. ALTERATION OF THE BOUNDARIES OF ST. FRANCIS PARISH (MA ON SHAN) AND OF SACRED HEART PARISH (SAI KUNG)

After due consultations with all interested parties and taking into consideration public transport network, I hereby decree that the boundaries of St. Francis Parish, Ma On Shan, New Territories, and of Sacred Heart Parish, Sai Kung, New Territories, are to be redefined as follows, effective 1 June 2009:

New Boundaries of St. Francis Parish —
East: Nai Chung, Sam Pui Chau, Kei Ling Ha Hoi (west coast), Sai Sha Road.
South: Sai Sha Road, Ma On Shan Country Park (East), Tai Kam Chung, Wong Chuk Shan.
West: Wong Chuk Shan, Ma On Shan Country Park (South), Mui Tsz Lam Road, Ning Tai Road.
North: Ning Tai Road, Sha Tin Hoi.

New Boundaries of Sacred Heart Parish —
East: Tai Long Wan.
South: Leung Shuen Wan Hoi, Ngau Mei Hoi, Hong Kin Road, Clear Water Bay Road.
West: Hiram’s Highway, Kln Peak (Fei Ngo Shan), Buffalo Hill (Shui Ngau Shan), Wong Chuk Shan.
North: Wong Chuk Shan, Ma On Shan Country Park (East), Sai Sha Road, Kei Ling Ha Hoi (east coast).

II. AMALGAMATION OF ST. IGNATIUS PASTORAL ZONE (YAUMATI) WITH ST. TERESA’S PARISH (KOWLOON TONG)

After due consideration of the request of the Superior of the Society of Jesus in Hong Kong, and having consulted all other interested parties, I hereby decree that, in view of the shortage of Jesuit priests, St. Ignatius Pastoral Zone, Yaumati, Kowloon, is to be suppressed. Its territory, together with the community of faithful there, is to be amalgamated with St. Teresa’s Parish, Kowloon, with effect from 1 July 2009. The new boundaries of St. Teresa’s Parish will be as follows:

East: Broadcast Drive, Renfrew Road, Inverness Road, Junction Road, Prince Edward Road West.
South: Argyle Street, Perth Street, Shek Ku Street, King Tak Street, Princess Margaret Road, Argyle Street, the junction of Waterloo Road and Pui Ching Road to Princess Margaret Road, Wylie Road, Chun Yi Lane, Waterloo Road, Nathan Road.
West: Nathan Road to Boundary Street.
North: Boundary Street, Tai Hang Tung Road, Nam Shan Chuen Road, Tat Chee Avenue, Cornwall Street, Beacon Hill Road, Lung Cheung Road.

With effect from 1 July 2009, Rev. Thomas LEUNG, SJ, will cease to be Pastor of the aforementioned Pastoral Zone. There will be no change in the personnel of St. Teresa’s Parish.
