APPOINTMENTS AND TRANSFERS

     Cardinal John TONG has made the following appointments:

(i)        Effective 1 July 2017

Rev. Luigi CANTONI, PIME, ceases to be Parish Priest of St. John the Apostle Parish, Sheung Kwai Chung, New Territories; he will be given a new assignment by his own Superior.

Rev. Joseph CHAN Wing-chiu, in addition to his current office as Parish Priest of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Tsing Yi, New Territories, is to be appointed Parochial Administrator of the above-named St. John the Apostle Parish until further notice.

(ii)       Effective 1 September 2017

Mr. Peter LAU Chiu-yin is to be appointed Episcopal Delegate for Education, in place of Sr. Cecilia WONG, FDCC.

Rev. Martin IP Po-lam is to be appointed Spiritual Director of the Hong Kong Federation of Catholic Students in place of Rev. Paul KAM Po-wai.

Rev. John J. McAULEY, MM, ceases to be Parish Priest of St. Anne’s Parish, Stanley, Hong Kong; he will be given a new assignment by his own Superior.

Rev. John P. CUFF, MM, ceases to be Parish Priest of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Wanchai, Hong Kong, and is to be appointed Parish Priest of the above-mentioned St. Anne’s Parish.

Rev. Thomas LAW Kwok-fai ceases to be Parish Priest of Mother of Good Counsel Parish, San Po Kong, Kowloon, and is to be appointed Parish Priest of the above-mentioned Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish.

Rev. Renzo MILANESE, PIME, ceases to be Parish Priest of Holy Redeemer Parish, Tuen Mun, New Territories, and is to be appointed Parish Priest of the above-mentioned Mother of Good Counsel Parish.

Rev. Joseph LIU Ah-lun, currently Assistant Parish Priest in the above-mentioned Holy Redeemer Parish, is to be appointed its Parish Priest.

Rev. Luigi BONALUMI, PIME, ceases to be Parish Priest of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, Tai Po, New Territories; he will be given a new assignment by his own Superior.

Rev. Aloysius MAK Ying-kin ceases to be Assistant Parish Priest in St. Jude’s Parish, North Point, Hong Kong, and is to be appointed Assistant Parish Priest in St. Joseph’s Parish, Kowloon Bay, Kowloon.

Rev. Juan Arcos SOTO, MG, is to be appointed Assistant Parish Priest in the above-mentioned St. Jude’s Parish.

Rev. Midas TAMBOT, SVD, ceases to be Parish Priest of St. Joseph’s Parish, Central District and Mid-Levels, Hong Kong; he will be given a new assignment by his own Superior after further studies abroad.

Rev. Joseph TAN, SVD, ceases to be Assistant Parish Priest in St. Margaret Mary’s Parish, Happy Valley, Hong Kong; he will receive a new assignment after a vacation leave.

Rev. Timothy WAN Kwok-kwong, ceases to be Assistant Parish Priest in St. Teresa’s Parish, Kowloon Tong, Kowloon, and is to be appointed Assistant Parish Priest in St. John the Baptist Parish, Kwun Tong, Kowloon.

Rev. Augustine ZAW AUNG, PIME, ceases to be Assistant Parish Priest in St. Stephen’s Parish, Ha Kwai Chung, New Territories.

(iii)      Effective 15 September 2017

Rev. Augustine ZAW AUNG, PIME, is to be appointed Assistant Parish Priest in St. Peter’s Parish, Aberdeen, Hong Kong.

(iv)      Effective 1 November 2017

Rev. Paul KIM Dong Ju, KMS, is to be appointed Parish Priest of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, Tai Po, New Territories,
