ASIAN CENTER FOR
THE PROGRESS OF PEOPLES
Inspired by Pope Paul VI’s Encyclical Letter “Progress of Peoples” (Populorum Progressio, 1967), ACPP was conceived in 1979 to work for justice and peace in Asia. ACPP works closely with justice and peace commissions and Catholic organizations in Asia to provide solidarity and information on social justice and issues in the region. It issues urgent appeals, background papers and conducts training for social justice advocacy education.
