III. Plenary indulgences for the Jubilee YEAR OF fatima
For the spiritual benefit of the faithful during the Jubilee Year of Fatima (27 November 2016 – 26 November 2017), Pope Francis grants a plenary indulgence to the faithful who fulfill the conditions indicated in both sections A and B below—

A. Basic requirements:

Sacramental confession, Eucharistic Communion, and prayer for the intentions of the Supreme Pontiff, in a spirit of total detachment from any inclination to sin.
 

B. Performing one of the following works:
a)   Make a pilgrimage to the Shrine
Make a pilgrimage to the Fatima Shrine in Portugal and devotedly participate in a celebration or prayer in honour of the Virgin Mary.  In addition, pray the Our Father, recite the Creed and invoke Our Lady of Fatima.
b)    Pray before any statue of Our Lady of Fatima
Visit with devotion a statue of Our Lady of Fatima solemnly displayed for public veneration in any church, oratory or proper place, during the days of the anniversary of the apparitions (the 13th of each month, from May to October 2017), and devotedly participate there in any celebration or prayer in honour of the Virgin Mary. In addition, pray the Our Father, recite the Creed and invoke Our Lady of Fatima.
c)   For the elderly and infirm
The faithful who, because of age, illness or other serious reason, are unable to get around, but are repentant of all their sins and have the firm intention of fulfilling, as soon as possible, the basic conditions mentioned in section A, may pray in front of a statue or small image of Our Lady of Fatima and spiritually unite themselves to the jubilee celebrations on the days of the apparitions, offering to God all-merciful with confidence, through Mary, their prayers and pains or the sacrifices they make in their own lives.
