II. SPECIAL COLLECTION FOR THE APOSTOLIC SEE
On the basis of Canon 1271, the Apostolic See is making an explicit appeal for more contribution from the local Churches according to their resources, so that they may give greater support to the Apostolic See in its service to the universal Church. As an expression of the bond of unity and charity between our diocese and the Apostolic See, parishes are to take up a second collection at all public Masses on 27 June 2021 (Sunday).
Cheques issued for the above specific purpose should be made payable to “The Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong” and sent to the Diocesan Procuration.
III. TRANSFERS AND APPOINTMENTS
(1) Cardinal John TONG has made the following transfers and appointments, effective 15 July 2021:
Rev. Renzo MILANESE, PIME, ceases to be Parish Priest of Mother of Good Counsel Parish, San Po Kong, Kowloon; he is to be appointed Assistant Parish Priest in Our Lady of China Parish, Tai Kok Tsui, Kowloon.
Rev. Philip CHAN Tak-hung ceases to be Parish Priest of St. Peter’s Parish, Aberdeen, Hong Kong; he is to be appointed Parish Priest of the above-mentioned Mother of Good Counsel Parish.
Rev. James BOEY is to be appointed Parish Priest of the above-mentioned St. Peter’s Parish.
Rev. Mechelle T. REGINIO, CICM, ceases to be Assistant Parish Priest in St. Andrew’s Parish, Tseung Kwan O, Kowloon; he is to be appointed Parish Priest of Christ the Worker Parish, Ngau Tau Kok, Kowoon, in place of Rev. Peter LO Pak-wing.
(2) The Council of Caritas-Hong Kong, presided over by Cardinal John TONG, has appointed Rev. Peter LO Pak-wing as Assistant Chief Executive in place of Rev. James BOEY, with effect from 15 July 2021.
