Bishop Stephen CHOW, S.J., has made the following appointments:
(1) Deacon Andy LAU Wai-ming ceases to assist in the pastoral services of Our Lady of China Parish, Tai Kok Tsui, Kowloon, effective 1 June 2022. He will leave Hong Kong and settle abroad.
(2) To cope with the pastoral needs of the Diocese, Rev. Joseph NGUYEN Duy Tam, currently Parochial Administrator of Christ the Worker Parish, Ngau Tau Kok, Kowloon, will be replaced by Rev. Gabriel ALTAMIRANO ORTEGA, MG. Joseph NGUYEN, temporarily taking up residence at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Kennedy Town, Hong Kong, will assist in the pastoral services of the Vietnamese Catholic Community. The two foregoing arrangements are to take effect from 10 June 2022 and until further notice.
(3) Four permanent deacons, ordained on 11 June 2022, will respectively assist in the pastoral services of the following parishes, effective 19 June 2022:
Rev. Deacon Gabriel LAU Nam-shan: St. Lawrence’s Parish, Cheung Sha Wan, Lei Cheng Uk and Mei Foo Sun Chuen, Kowloon.
Rev. Deacon Johnny WONG: Epiphany Parish, Lantau Island South, Mui Wo and Peng Chau, Hong Kong.
Rev. Deacon Thomas Anthony WONG Sze-pok: Visitation Parish, Lantau Island North, Tung Chung and Discovery Bay, New Territories.
Rev. Deacon Matthias YEUNG Chi-kwong: St. Joseph’s Parish, Central District and Mid-Levels, Hong Kong.
