O merciful Father, you have called your faithful servant, Father Matteo Ricci, to spread the Gospel and bear witness to the Truth in the land of China with admirable holiness and perseverance, so that the Chinese people may share your salvation.

Through his outstanding example, rekindle our missionary zeal so that we may learn to practise the Truth in love in our daily lives and lead others, especially our Chinese brothers and sisters, to know and love you.

Through the intercession of your faithful servant, grant me, Lord, the favour I ask of you (here make your petition), that your holy name may be glorified.
