日期20190107
簡介According to the American Psychological Association (APA), being a traditional man is now considered on par with a mental disorder. The APA believes that “psychologists have a key role to play, as the new guidelines lay out.” Those guidelines include the need for clinicians to be aware of what the APA refers to as “dominant masculine ideals”, and to “understand how power, privilege and sexism work both by conferring benefits to men and by trapping them in narrow roles.”

日期20170517
簡介It takes a certain something to be a good storyteller: enthusiasm, timing and a flair for the dramatic. Performers at a children’s story hour at a New York City library have all that and then some — they’re drag queens. About once a month since last fall, the Brooklyn Public Library has been presenting Drag Queen Story Hour, where performers regale an audience of children ranging from infants to preschoolers and their parents.

簡介K-12 schools are bringing drag queens into the classroom to teach gender ideology. Teachers are praising “Drag Queen Story Hour,” according to a clip released by videographer Sean Fitzgerald and the David Horowitz Freedom Center. The program “captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity of childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models.” Maurice Sendak Community School, a public school located in Brooklyn, New York, hosted a drag queen and first grade teacher Alexis Hernandez marveled at the event in a testimonial published on Drag Queen Story Hour’s website.

日期20190905
簡介In the 21st century, a drag queen is not just a man who wears women’s clothes; a drag queen is an entirely separate entity. When so impeccably dressed and flawlessly painted, the person underneath the queen disappears almost completely. They’ve plunged their hands deep down into their own psyches and pulled out the weirdest, fiercest, and most theatrical parts of themselves, then mashed them together to form something new. In this moment, drag culture is bigger and more popular than it’s ever been. Where did it all begin?

題目Drag Queen Story Hour comes to Hong Kong, with three of city’s drag queens singing and reading stories to children

簡介Taking cues from the initiative Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH), in which drag queens make the rounds in libraries and schools reading stories to children, Hong Kong is holding its own version. DQSH, which began in the United States, has since been held in Canada and Britain. The events aim to promote a message of gender diversity and tolerance by introducing children to queer or transgender people at a young age. While they are generally well received by children, they have drawn criticism from conservative groups.

簡介One wonders how he came to identify himself as gay at the tender age of 10. I’m not sure if it’s more upsetting to think that he understands what that means, or that he doesn’t. Desmond’s parents, and NBC News, seem almost blissfully unaware of what the young boy’s childhood has become. another outrage:  This is NBC News profiling a 10-year-old boy because he likes to dress up in fancy dresses and over-the-top makeup. It’s shameless and tawdry and exploitative, and NBC News should be ashamed.

簡介Perhaps sensing the horrific optics of the event, LGBT news sites have assiduously avoided reporting that their favorite 11-year-old drag kid “Desmond Is Amazing” danced on stage in a New York gay bar while adult male patrons tossed money his way as if he were a male stripper. The pre-adolescent boy, dressed in drag to imitate singer Gwen Stefani, pranced around the stage at Brooklyn’s 3 Dollar Bill, an LGBT bar described as “queer owned & operated,” and “Brooklyn’s Premiere Queer Bar & Performance Venue.”
