Catholic has a very long history, which is full of faith, hope and love. It's core is to follow Jesus Christ, the Son of God sent to save the humanity. Through the life of liturgy, prayer and faith, the Catholic Church allows believers to connect with God and find the inner peace.
Important characteristics of the Catholic faith:
1. Creed: Catholics believe in one almighty God, the creator of the universe. Catholics believe that Jesus is the Son of God, who suffered, died and resurrected for the sins of mankind, bringing the hope and salvation to the world.
2. The Bible and Tradition: The Bible is an important foundation of faith for Catholics, especially the New Testament which contains records about the life and teachings of Jesus. 3. Sacraments: There are seven sacraments in the Catholic Church, including Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Penance and Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders and Matrimony. The sacraments are special rituals through which believers can deeply experience God's love and grace.
4. The Pope: The worldwide leader of the Catholic Church is the Pope, also known as the Bishop of Rome. He is considered as the successor of the Apostle Peter and has the role of guiding and teaching the entire Church.
5. Charity Action: Catholicism emphasizes loving others as oneself, and is committed to charity, helping others and social justice, serving the poor, suffering and help those in need.
