THE HONG KONG CATHOLIC MARRIAGE ADVISORY COUNCIL
Background:
The HKCMAC was established in 1965 by Fr. Edward Collins, S.J. at the request of the late Bishop Lawrence Bianchi to provide Hong Kong with a specialized agency for the improvement of marriage and parenthood. It was formally incorporated in 1967.
The Objectives of the Council are:
1. To promote by means of counselling guidance and education, successful marriages and responsible parenthood.
2. To provide, or to assist in the provision of counselling and education for young men and women contemplating marriage in order that they have a proper understanding of marriage and of human relations between the sexes.
3. To establish, or to assist in the establishment of centres where couples may obtain counselling and guidance of all kinds in their marital difficulties.
4. To keep the need for successful marriages and responsible parenthood in the minds of all concerned by every available means.

Since 1977, Fu Hong Society has been providing services for persons with disabilities (PWDs) with the aims of developing their potentials and fostering social inclusion. The Society has currently operated about 70 service units and projects providing core services such as residential care services, day training services, vocational rehabilitation and development services and community mental health services. The Society serves persons with intellectual/ psychiatric/physical disabilities and those with autism spectrum disorders and also provides family care home services on a self-financed basis. Through living in family care homes, persons with intellectual disabilities who lack family support can enjoy a normal family life and connect with community members family warmth.
