We wish to make the following response to the Press Conference held yesterday afternoon by Chief Executive Mrs. Carrie Lam on the Extradition Bill:

1. We accept the personal, public apology of the Chief Executive, with the admission of her own inadequacies.

2. We appeal to the SAR Government to launch a thorough independent inquiry into the clashes between the police and the protesters on June 12, as a lesson

for the future.

3. While the Government has made clear that the Extradition Bill has already been “suspended”, we still opt for it to make an explicit, public statement that the Bill has been “withdrawn”, to meet the strong demand of the general public.
