簡介 | Gay and bisexual men are more severely affected by HIV than any other group in the United States. From 2005 to 2014, HIV diagnoses decreased in the United States by 19% overall, but increased 6% among all gay and bisexual men, driven by increases among African American and Hispanic/Latino gay and bisexual men. Over the past 5 years (2010-2014), the increase in HIV diagnoses among all gay and bisexual men was less than 1%, although progress has been uneven among races/ethnicities. |

日期 | 2017 |
簡介 | This year’s publication of the Annual Report of Trends in Behaviour on HIV and sexually transmissible infections (STIs) occurs within a very dynamic context for HIV and STIs. Some of the indicators we have relied on from the early days of the epidemic are no longer sufficient to capture and understand changes in practice. We have therefore adapted our surveillance mechanisms to identify and understand the impacts of advances in biomedical technologies and evolving community practices. This has necessitated additional care in unpacking and interpreting the results of our studies to guide Australian blood-borne virus (BBV) and STI responses. |
