APPOINTMENTS AND TRANSFERS

Bishop Michael YEUNG has made the following appointments and transfers:

(i) Effective 15 January 2018

Rev. Denes Fernando COSTA da SILVA, SVD, is to be appointed Assistant Parish Priest in St. Peter’s Parish, Aberdeen, Hong Kong.

Rev. Joseph FUNG Che-ho, is to be appointed Assistant Parish Priest in St. Lawrence’s Parish, Cheung Sha Wan, Lei Cheng Uk and Mei Foo Sun Chuen, Kowloon.

(ii)    Effective 1 February 2018

Rev. Jean Sylvére MBUELA PFUTI, CICM, ceases to be Parish Priest of Star of the Sea Parish, Chaiwan, Hong Kong, and is to be appointed Parish Priest of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, Taipo, New Territories.

Rev. Francis LAU Tak-kwong ceases to be Parish Priest of Holy Cross Parish, Shaukiwan, Hong Kong, and is to be appointed Parish Priest of the above-mentioned Star of the Sea Parish.

Rev. Peter LEUNG Tat-choy ceases to be Parish Priest of St. Teresa’s Parish, Kowloon Tong, Kowloon, and is to be appointed Parish Priest of the above-mentioned Holy Cross Parish.

Rev. Gabriel ALTAMIRANO ORTEGA, MG, ceases to be Dean of Hong Kong South-West and Islands Deanery, as well as Parish Priest of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Pokfulam, Hong Kong, and is to be appointed Parish Priest of the above-mentioned St. Teresa’s Parish.
 Rev. Victor M. ZAVALA CONTRERAS, MG, currently Assistant Parish Priest in the above-mentioned Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, is to be appointed Parish Priest of the same Parish.

Rev. Flavien Ulrich BOUAMBE, CICM, is to be appointed Assistant Parish Priest in the above-mentioned Our Lady of Lourdes Parish.

Rev. Francis Vergara MAHILUM, CICM, is to be appointed Assistant Parish Priest in Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, Taipo, New Territories.

(iii)   Effective 18 February 2018

Rev. Jacob KWOK Wai-ki ceases to be Assistant Parish Priest in St. Francis Parish, Ma On Shan, New Territories; and is to be appointed Parish Priest of St. Andrew’s Parish, Tseung Kwan O, Kowloon, in place of Rev. Benedict LAM Cho-ming, VG.

Rev. Simon LI Chi-yuen ceases to be Parish Priest of St. Benedict Parish, Shatin, New Territories; and is to be appointed Parish Priest of St. Jerome’s Parish, Tin Shui Wai, New Territories, in place of Rev. Joseph NG Shu-shing.

Rev. Joseph NG Shu-shing is to be appointed Spiritual Director of Holy Spirit Seminary, Aberdeen, Hong Kong, in place of Rev. Pierre LAM Minh, MEP.

Rev. Martin IP Po-lam ceases to be Parish Priest of Our Lady of China Parish, Tai Kok Tsui, Kowloon, and is to be appointed Parish Priest of the above-mentioned St. Benedict Parish.

Rev. Francis TAM Kam-wing ceases to be Parish Priest of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Kennedy Town, Hong Kong, and is to be appointed Parish Priest of the above-mentioned Our Lady of China Parish.

Rev. Pierre LAM Minh, MEP, is to be appointed Parish Priest of the above-mentioned Our Lady of the Rosary Parish and Dean of Hong Kong South-West and Islands Deanery.

Rev. Pierre Joseph JEANNE, MEP, ceases to be Home Chaplain to St. Joseph’s Home for the Aged, Sheung Shui, New Territories, and is to be appointed Assistant Parish Priest in the above-mentioned Our Lady of the Rosary Parish.

Rev. Dino DOIMO, PIME, ceases to be Parish Priest of St. Joseph’s Parish, Kowloon Bay, Kowloon, and is to be appointed Home Chaplain to the above-mentioned St. Joseph’s Home for the Aged.

Rev. Aloysius MAK Ying-kin, currently Assistant Parish Priest in the above-mentioned  St. Joseph’s Parish, Kowloon Bay, is to be appointed Parish Priest of the same Parish.

Rev. Peter HOANG Van Hien, SVD, is to be appointed Assistant Parish Priest in the above-mentioned St. Joseph’s Parish, Kowloon Bay.

Rev. Nicolas De FRANCQUEVILLE, MEP, is to be appointed Assistant Parish Priest in Holy Redeemer Parish, Tuen Mun, New Territories.

(iv)   Effective 1 March 2018

Rev. Ambrose MONG Ih-ren, ceases to be Assistant Parish Priest in St. Teresa’s Parish, Kowloon Tong, Kowloon, and is to be appointed Assistant Parish Priest in St. Andrew’s Parish, Tseung Kwan O, Kowloon.
